It is super easy to rinse out after taking out the compost. I don’t use any bags, and I’ve just had to quickly rinse this before using it again. There are no crevices or areas that would be hard to clean if something got crusted on.
So far, it has contained the smell of the scraps just fine - though we empty it into the backyard at least once a week. As an added bonus, it looks sleek and doesn’t have the word “compost” on it like so many other products out there. We aren’t going to forget what it’s for, and it’s sleek and fits right in to our kitchen decor.
