This podcast has changed my life. I believe some psychiatrists are great, but they only take sliding scale or care about a patients meds. The only way to be truly educated about your disabilities is to hear from other thriving people with the same thing you have and to learn more about them! You don’t have to stand alone. Also, way too many therapists don’t even have the kind of knowledge that this podcast brings. Simply life changing!!!!!! Dr. Nicole is completely a game changer for me when they speak together. Wow
Great podcast!

I really enjoy this podcast. The two perspectives brought by Gabe and Dr. Nicole are unique and balanced. Gabe gives a very inside and personal view of how his mind and body feel while going through an episode or remembering one. This helps me understand what my son might be experiencing. Dr. Nicole balances the conversation with her professional background in a relaxed and fun way. This show differs from others because it feels like you are in your living room just chatting about an important topic with Gabe and Dr. Nicole. Thank you both!
So much great information!

Not a fan…

Wasn’t a fan of the episode about rage … I isn’t like how it was framed it wasn’t the medications fault but the side effects were the issue… please, adrenaline is a huge issue with meds and bipolar… I was prescribed hydroxyzine for sleep as providers now like to move clients from klonapin…. It yes hydroxyzine the drug made me angry manic… some it isn’t our fault and is the fault of the meds. Stop blaming patients when a lot of times it is the meds. I have always said psychiatrists should try a med or two they prescribe…bc some it will affect us the same. Drugs aren’t always the answer… definitely unsubscribing… let’s be clear was not a great line
The best Bipolar podcast that I’ve found!

I’m a person living with bipolar and I like that I have both the perspective of a doctor and the perspective of the patient (and loved ones of patients). It explores areas from different angles to acknowledge that cases can vary. Thanks Gabe to be so open about your story.
Great Show

My son was diagnosed in 2020. He has been doing very well and is able to manage things very well. But this year he earned too much to keep his Medicaid. Losing his team, and his therapist said he doesn’t need his antipsychotic because he’s been symptom-free for 3 years. What?! He’s been symptom-free because he took his meds and kept up his care and routine! Anyway, you guys are wonderful. Shared you with my support group. Looks like I will be needing you more than ever!
So Informative and Helpful

My 21 year old son has bipolar disorder and has recently been talking about getting off his medication. Today I listened to an episode addressing this topic and learned so much. I really appreciate both sides, the patient and the psychiatrist being included. This helps me to better understand how he feels and that he is not unique in thinking about this. Thanks so much!
Educational and Helpful

After I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, I found this podcast. Gabe and Dr. Nicole have done an exceptional job with explaining different subjects that have helped me navigate my symptoms. Each episode has been on point with my own experiences with living with Bipolar. At first diagnosis, I was terrified because of the world’s stereotype view of Bipolar. But, this podcast has eased my view of my Bipolar disorder diagnosis.
