I wanted to show support, but it turns out, that’s not what she needed.

Mental Well-Being
I am so very sad. My pup Annie passed and I feel so lonely without her because she's been my only steadfast friend through this cancer journey. She's been through it all with me and helped keep me calm, focused, and the reason I had to get up in the morning. We hiked together and traveled together everywhere even to Florida from Massachusetts once. My other helper was my grandson and he's away now at college so while I'm so happy for him I miss his help. I have surgery on September 9th and I'll be alone afterwards. I only have a few friends and they are very busy. I do have a great therapist and my grandson's pup that lives with my X but I just need some encouragement from the bc community. Thanks for being here it's a comfort to have a safe place to share.

Medications and Treatments
I’m guessing this topic has come up before, but in the absence of a search tool I’m surfacing it again. I’m interested in experiences with the cold gloves/mittens and socks to limit neuropathy. I have started to notice singling in my fingers, and my thumbs definitely feel different when I text (like I am now). Do the cold gloves work?

Medications and Treatments
Has anyone tried non-traditional treatment or targeted treatment that has been productive? I have a BC reoccurrence in 2013 ( original was in 2008), but this time it came back as a tumor on my liver, on the artery on the liver. This made it inoperable. I have been told no doctor will touch it. I have tried over 3 different treatments(pills/injections) and in 2 different studies until use of Chemo and radiation for an endometrial cancer made me u able to do any other study. Now PET scans are showing a steady increase in my tumor and possible metastasis. Before June’s scan the tumor had be en slowly decreasing. I want to live and beat this cancer and the tumor. I am being seen at a world renowned hospital. I plan to talk to my doctor more in depth. Thanks in advance

💙 Show me your meal - what are you eating today? I’ve got a busy day & lunch is looking like a granola bar on the road. So big hearty breakfast today

Hoping for some prayers and positive vibes this morning! I have my year follow-up CT to check on the ‘incidentals’ (two small lung nodules and a bone island) that were found last August before I started chemo last fall. They were deemed benign at the time, but a year re-check was recommended. This is my first scan after treatments ended so have the scanxiety going on in a big way.
