Don't know how to explain this. Please bear with me.
I have been on diabetes medication for quite a while, my weight has been up there for a long time as well. I went to the eye doctor in 2014 and asked why my eyes were blurry, especially in low light or when focusing. He told me to lose the weight, and that will clear up. But I read that some of the medications (I don't know which one I am on) can cause blurry vision as a side effect. I know that diabetes and cholesterol(which I also have) can affect vision. I have been to the eye doctor several times since then and was told in 2024 a astigmatism, but I am concerned I may have been misdiagnosed. How can I go about narrowing down what the real cause is? If it is medications, I would love to try something else that has fewer side effects.
Side Note: I have been on Jardiance for quite some time now, 3 years or so maybe, and I found it curious that my regular doctor would say to me, Let's try something else. Jardiance has a lot of side effects. He suggested Farxiga.
Also, I put on glasses and some things get clearer, like computer text, some books, and FaceTime videos.
I go to see my Endo PA on Monday.
