I have more than a few pairs of trainers that I can put on, but once my feet experienced the superb cushioning of these, there was no going back. I have a long history with ASICS and ran hundreds of miles in them. Knees won't permit it any longer, but nothing else feels as good on my feet. Think "extra firm marshmallows with balanced stability." They are fabulous. For 18 years I've purchased size 9 in this shoe, but had to immediately exchange for 9.5 with this iteration.

Like Walking on a Cloud!
These are the bomb; so comfortable and the black/ charcoal color means they look cleaner longer. It's also becoming increasingly harder to find athletic shoes in neutral colors. They hold up well when washing and are easily dried in the sun (I remove the insoles). Buy a half size larger than your normal size. Even then, they will initially feel slightly tight when you first try them on. But they will relax after a day or two as the gel inserts mould to your feet. Recommend you wear them around the house for a couple of days before wearing outside. The first pair of these I purchased had the purple trim as shown in the photo. On the pair I recently received, the trim is black, outlined by silver. Initially I was disappointed, but they actually match more things. The material on these (especially the tongue) is also stretchier than the last pair. I love these shoes!
