Migraine Symptoms
I have been seeing a Neurologist for about 18 months, in the beginning it was for neuropathy and a possible diagnosis of MS, but all tests came back Negative !! About 9 months ago he started me on Aimovig every 28 days, and Ubrelvy when I feel a migraine at the start. So far, I feel as if the Aimovig has made the migraines come on more often, and I do not get any relief from the Ubrelvy. I have an appointment today, 06/17 in Omaha, NE. I have the privilege of being driven ( through my insurance company ) traveling to see specialist at The University of Nebraska Medicine. So we shall see what happens after our dicussion today !!

Migraine Symptoms
I don’t think I’ve ever experienced aura with a migraine but I do notice that more recently it is almost as if my head and nerves feel like they are flinching. That’s kinda the best word I can use to explain it. Or like if you were to tap on a rubber band that was stretched … that reverberation kind of. Does anyone else experience something similar? That’s not aura is it?

I just had a visual aura, and usually, the headache starts within a few minutes. But not this time. Should I go ahead and take a Nurtec or wait until the headache starts? BTW, this is not typical for me. Thanks!

Since 1992 after I returned from the 1st Gulf War. Ive had increasingly long and painful Migraines and Abdominal Migraines without any relief from traditional Migraine Treatment and can only be broken by Dalaud or Ketamine I recently was given in the ER. Im there on average twice a month for these. Ive been doing alot of reading and research and Im going to try this next along with Ketamine IV IV Drip Infusions. Ive heard good success while using these methods. Sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) block is a procedure where a local anesthetic is injected into the sphenopalatine ganglion, a nerve cluster behind the nose, to reduce pain from migraines and other headaches. This procedure is often considered for migraines that don't respond well to other treatments.

Update on the Neura Health. Not gonna lie I was disheartened yesterday when I got an email saying that my initial consultation had to get rescheduled and pushed back to July 1. I do understand that schedule conflicts come up but I was already having a low mood day. Part of the reason I was so excited about this service was the “promise” of getting seen in the same week of signing up. So I’m kinda irritated that I won’t be seen until almost a month after signing up. I could be seen sooner if I choose a care provider out of network. Anyway I will wait the two weeks for the appointment because ultimately getting treatment is the important part. Or… is it worth going out of network to see Dr Clint Lauritsen this week?
