I wanted to give an update. I finally had my first Neura Health consult yesterday and it was so worth the wait! I met with a NP and really appreciate her more conservative, holistic approach. She and I talked for an hour... yes, a whole hour! She asked my opinion and thoughts on a few treatment options which I appreciated, and didn't dismiss my feelings. The treatment: Preventative... for now we are starting super conservative and starting with supplements: Magnesium glycinate (start with 250 mg for a week, then up to 500 mg), B2 400 mg, and CoQ10 100 mg. Abortive... she is prescribing Nurtec. I will keep Imitrex in my toolkit and Advil, but Nurtec will be first for acute relief. Device... she feels Nerivio will be better for me, so she is getting authorization for that. Testing... she is requesting an MRI (again). The other (local) neurologist I had seen requested one, but it was denied when she didn't follow up with them for more information as to why I needed one. I've never had one. Triggers... we did discuss my caffeine intake. She graciously is not having me give up a lot quickly. She'd like me to start cutting back 2 oz per week for now and see how I do. Also, try to stop any extra coffee outside of my normal pattern/routine of coffee in the morning. I think it is doable. Follow up... I am scheduled for four weeks from now. So I met with her yesterday, and this morning I already was contacted by Medmo to provide info on getting the MRI scheduled. Overall, I am so happy with this service. The information she gave as to why Imitrex is no longer working for my migraines is very helpful. She also told me that since I have a history of asthma, there is a class of preventatives she'd not recommend at all.

I’m starting qulipta tomorrow as a preventative for my daily migraines. Should I take it in the morning or night. I’ve read it can cause insomnia and some found taking it in the mornings is better. Anyone have experience with it and does it work and how long does it take? Any suggestions?
