I have Bipolar Disorder and I have learned so much from this great podcast. I appreciate them sharing their stories and information.
Not a fan…

Wasn’t a fan of the episode about rage … I isn’t like how it was framed it wasn’t the medications fault but the side effects were the issue… please, adrenaline is a huge issue with meds and bipolar… I was prescribed hydroxyzine for sleep as providers now like to move clients from klonapin…. It yes hydroxyzine the drug made me angry manic… some it isn’t our fault and is the fault of the meds. Stop blaming patients when a lot of times it is the meds. I have always said psychiatrists should try a med or two they prescribe…bc some it will affect us the same. Drugs aren’t always the answer… definitely unsubscribing… let’s be clear was not a great line
The best Bipolar podcast that I’ve found!

I’m a person living with bipolar and I like that I have both the perspective of a doctor and the perspective of the patient (and loved ones of patients). It explores areas from different angles to acknowledge that cases can vary. Thanks Gabe to be so open about your story.
Great Show

So helpful!

My son was diagnosed in 2020. He has been doing very well and is able to manage things very well. But this year he earned too much to keep his Medicaid. Losing his team, and his therapist said he doesn’t need his antipsychotic because he’s been symptom-free for 3 years. What?! He’s been symptom-free because he took his meds and kept up his care and routine! Anyway, you guys are wonderful. Shared you with my support group. Looks like I will be needing you more than ever!
So Informative and Helpful

My 21 year old son has bipolar disorder and has recently been talking about getting off his medication. Today I listened to an episode addressing this topic and learned so much. I really appreciate both sides, the patient and the psychiatrist being included. This helps me to better understand how he feels and that he is not unique in thinking about this. Thanks so much!
Educational and Helpful

After I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, I found this podcast. Gabe and Dr. Nicole have done an exceptional job with explaining different subjects that have helped me navigate my symptoms. Each episode has been on point with my own experiences with living with Bipolar. At first diagnosis, I was terrified because of the world’s stereotype view of Bipolar. But, this podcast has eased my view of my Bipolar disorder diagnosis.
Younger brother just diagnosed w BP1

My wife shared this with me after brother had a very scary manic episode. He checked himself in for 72hrs going on 11 days. I’m so grateful I have this pod. It is authentic and honest and seeing both sides is so helpful. I have shared with my whole family. We all have a lot of work to do and look forward to being on a team together. Thank you both for this resource.
Overacting by Gabe, sadly!

Gabe tries too hard. A "Jerry Springer" type of perfectionist. Sadly, he is passive-aggressive toward Dr. Nicole. She should break off and do her own podcast. Gabe is overacts and it dampens the show.
