I wanted to show support, but it turns out, that’s not what she needed.

Still struggling with my potassium. We are now going hardcore. The dr assures me this is a rather normal issue. In our conversation she talked about foods high in potassium, like potatoes. Then she mentioned potato chips (!), I am thinking “omg is she giving me the green light to eat potato chips??? 🤣 Potatoes have more potassium than bananas. Oranges are also a good source. Dr also said it takes about 3 mos to heal from chemotherapy.

I need some book recommendations, Please. Something light. I enjoy listening to audiobooks, but I need a good "safe" book to listen to. (*Possible plot spoilers ahead!!) A book I was reading with my kids had a main character with cancer. Then, a movie my husband and I watched ("The Map of Tiny Perfect Things"), the mom was dying of cancer. Also, I spontaneously picked a young adult novel thinking it would be a safe pick ("The Summer I Turned Pretty") and while it was a fairly good book, one of the main adults had a recurrence of her breast cancer and was now stage 4.... and ugh. It's like it's haunting me, and it's just so heavy. I can't continue to be surprised. I need a safe, good book to listen to! Any recommendations?

Young and Diagnosed
Hi. I turned 40 in January of this year. I was diagnosed in February, 2 days after I lost my mom.... I've had 4 rounds of chemo so far and after 2 more rounds I'm having a double mastectomy. The hardest has been going through all of this without my mom, my best friend. My anxiety and depression have been getting the best of me lately. I can't sleep, panic attacks are trying really hard tonight.

Boooo! Was really hoping for a finding of complete response to TCHP chemo in my recent surgery pathology, but pesky tumor cells remain. I'm now looking at a year of Kadcyla. Anyone have experience with Kadcyla? How "bad" was it compared to TCHP chemo? My oncologist reassures me it will be much easier and that the worst is behind me already. I'm particularly interested in your experiences with gastrointestinal effects, neuropathy, and fatigue. Thanks for any details!
