This is my second Amazfit watch, having previously owned the Bip U Pro model. This is a significant upgrade over that model and I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Battery Life - 5/5: I have had this for about 10 days now, and a single charge has gotten me through. I am using this thing fairly often throughout the day and interacting with it quite a lot as I get to know its bells and whistles. The battery is very strong!

Screen - 5/5: The screen is also quite bright on this watch. I have had no problems getting a clear read from it, even in bright and direct sunlight. It also gets quite dark at night, and the adaptive brightness is fairly responsive.

Tracking - 4/5: So far, it seems to track activity, heart rate, and sleep reasonably well, but its not without hiccups. For example, it gave me a sleep score of 94/100 last night, and I can say I did not sleep very well in reality. I can't say that others are inherently better, but it is a drawback. The heart rate tracking can be sporadic, but I also tend not to wear it super tightly so that is naturally going to reduce the accuracy. Workouts do track fairly well when I use it, and the GPS works nicely for tracking runs.

Comfort - 4/5: So far, the comfort has been reasonably good. Again, I can't say I have owned an apple watch or other competitor to use as a reference point, but the band has been pretty comfortable and I have not gotten any rash or anything that can be common with these sport bands. I will say wearing it a bit looser does prevent moisture from becoming trapped, so that likely has helped.

Aesthetics - 4/5: Overall its a nice looking watch. I don't love the red dial, but otherwise it looks nice! As a 6'4 male, the size is an advantage, but for smaller frames I could see it being too large.

Customizability and App Companion - 4/5: The Zepp app largely works quite well, but it can be a bit confusing to navigate. I have not had a great chance to use the coaching, so cannot comment on that just yet. The watch faces available aren't bad, but I will say they aren't all the prettiest. Some are quite a lot nicer, but others look like a 12 year old could have designed it. But that said, there are plenty of options that run the spectrum, so you shouldn't ever feel limited by that.

Overall - 5/5: The price is great, the functionality is really good, battery life is impressive. There may be some marginal drawbacks, but this is a GREAT smartwatch at a great price.

Update to the glowing review below. After 10 months it stopped working. Would not come "on" with wrist motion. Online search revealed this is a common problem. Solution: Update the software. Did that. Downloaded the new app to phone. but then the phone would not connect to the watch. The watch won't come on without the phone app. (The phone is FINE: Samsung S21+). The problem is obviously the watch. There are no controls on the watch to make it pair. Buttons don't work; screen is insensitive. Photographed the screen QR on the phone (the only screen you can get when you press language choice.) Linked to the phone app. But no connection. Turned Bluetooth on and off. No connect. Waited and waited. No connect. Tried by selecting Spanish then French to see if it was an "English" bug. No connect. Return window is only 30 days, long gone. Factory is unresponsive -- they are a marketing company. So this useless gizmo cost me $17.90 per month for ten months. Pretty expensive maintenance for a wristwatch.
      ------------------ Original Review Below ------------------

This Android smartwatch does it all for a fraction of the price of the big-name watches. The battery runs easily 24 hrs, and under low load (just time, steps, etc.) it goes a full week between charges. It does all the stuff that fitness watches do (heart rate, oxygen level, sleep and other cycles, etc.). Plus GPS interface and links to your phone. Waterproof of course, and the round form factor looks good and comes with a surprisingly comfortable, quick-release silicon band in standart 21mm. I am blown away at the value of this watch.
CONS: The downsides are few and small. The Zeff (formerly AmazFit) library of watchfaces is limited to dozens rather than hundreds (but who needs hundreds?), and likewise for third-party apps. The watch is also a music player, but the sound through watch speakers is tinny. But who plays music on their watch?

PROS: I already noted the incredible value for a feature-laden Android watch, but I admit I don't use all its features. I use it for time (Yes, time!) and I'm very pleased with the fast response when I roll my wrist up to look at the watch. The watchface lights up within about 1 second, and that's not even the most sensitive setting. I use it for alarms and reminders, and I use the pedometer. I like getting buzzed when I have a voice or text, since I often missed notifications when the phone was in my pocket. No more. I put a free compass app on it which looks great on the round watchface and is useful when walking downtown. I don't sleep with it so can't report on sleep functions. I also don't use the map or search functions, since my phone does those much better. In sum, while I do not use all the features this phone offers, at the price, it does more than 100% of what I want a smartwatch to do.

I bought an Apple 6 and also this. The Apple 6 stays on the charger. This is one amazing watch if you want to keep an eye on your sleep. It must have close to the masimo level of SPO2 even though it doesn't show it in detail. Apple 6 had masimo tech, but only measured a few times during the sleep.
This GTR 4 lasts a week because I turn off notifications. Lovely display but you really have to move your hand to get it to show. It has all the right stuff for exercises and walks (I don't use the GPS). The PAI overall health thing is a nice simple stat and doesn't need you to start stop exercise sessions. Blood oxygen works when it thinks that I am sleeping or resting and shows on a bar chart. It is very close to Masimo... but doesn't measure every second like Masimo. So it will miss hypopnias. But it's deep sleep algorithm is close to an EEG which I use every now and then, but not in detail, but the result.
The display is nice...download a new one with more info. My hand was allergic to the band. I got a metal one, magnetic. I love the long battery life. I wear this day and night and it might lose 13% a day.

The battery life is no way near the life advertised.
The bluetooth function is pretty average. It lags 5 seconds to not at all if I want to change a song via my watch.
You have to connect separately to receive notifications of a call. Most of the time I miss phone calls because of it.
The glass used isnt overly great - I've got a couple of scratches in it already and i haven't done anything physical.
Given the opportunity again, I wouldnt buy this watch again, pretty disappointing.

      Recomendable!

I had an Amazfit Pace, which was okay but had numerous issues. After using it for a few years, I was about to buy an Apple watch during Prime Days, but thought I would check out the competition. Out of all I researched, this watch (or the Trex as well), came out on top.
I appreciate the GPS accuracy of this watch, the battery life, and the instant connection to my iPhone to update workouts, sleep, etc. And did I mention value? It blows away the Apple watch.
I am very glad I made this purchase decision, and recommend the watch without reserve.
