For those with gentle hands!
I waited to write a review until I used it a few times and also ran it through the dishwasher. I specifically only use it for tea so I can have it chilled throughout the week for London Fogs. Couple of things to notate:- since this is glass, I do a very slow warm up on the burner at a level 2.5 out of 10, to allow it to gradually warm the water. If the water is cold from the fridge then I start at low and wait until the water is at least room temp. I never allow it to get hotter than the 2.5 level- allowing just a couple small bubbles to rise, not a rolling boil.- since I want my tea cold, I wait for it to become room temp before putting it in the fridge after brewing.- I have put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, and I’ve been the only one handling it because it is glass and I do think it’s not quite thick enough for everyone. I’m very careful with things, I turn doorknobs when I close doors rather than just pulling them shut, so this pitcher is fine for myself even with a glass stovetop, glass shelves in my fridge and granite counters.. the handle doesn’t get hot and feels sturdy with a full pitcher.- I wish the lid was a thick glass with a seal rather than the metal, just personal preference I guess.Overall, this is great for me and my needs, but not great for someone that is rough and “clanks” dishes about.
