I have psoriasis in my scalp. My last dermatologist had no clue what it was, so I'm going to a new one who was referred to me by my Rhuematologist. I scratch which is not good. I am using over the counter Nizoral for now. It really bothers me and makes me feel bad about me. I'm 68 years old and never had an issue.

Mental and Emotional Health
Here some of the tips which helped reduced inflammation on my skin: 1. Tried keto diet (with wooden pressed coconut oil) for a week. Have seen tremendous result 2. One of the breathing exercise in yoga called Pranayama to release stress 3. Eat only when you feel hungry Please comment your observations on these if already done

Hello, I’m glad to have found this forum and I hope to find some helpful information from some of you other folks. So I went to a dermatologist because I had this rash under both breasts. She informed me I had ringworm and gave me a topical antifungal, which did absolutely nothing so then she put me on a steroid ointment. And she told me to also use a cream, tacrolimus, In between flareups. Thankfully, the steroid did work but now a few weeks later I see I am beginning to develop a little red spot of rash again. I have googled and read and gathered much information regarding this condition, but I’m still not finding a whole lot of advice on how to prevent flareups whether by diet or lifestyle changes, so any advice that Has worked for you I would greatly appreciate learning so thanks in advance

Hi I'm new and not familiar with psoriasis at all! This is terrifying to me! I'm so glad I found this forum to be able to learn and share with others. I recently discovered my nails were bothering me and thought it was from wearing sculptureed nails. I've worn them all of my life and quit about 9 months or so ago. Well they have been really bothering me to the point of becoming an obsession! They itch, hurt and get rough on the sides. They don't appear any different than before except they're unattractive to me because I'm use to long sculpture nails and prefer that look. I started reading and reading everything after treating them for fungus which did nothing and am sure it's nail psoriasis. I started using an Ointment, Triamcinolone Acetonide, and it helped IMMEDIATELY! Life saver! I'm going to see a dermatologist next month. Oh, I had my nails tested for fungus by a lab, negative and they have no appearance of any real irregular markings except one or two. I welcome all feedback and look forward to being apart of this group. Ty guys.

Hello! You can call me Aine, I just joined today. Psoriasis is just one of the many symptoms related to my disease and co-diseases since I got diagnosed with lymes disease. Unfortunately I won’t be getting better since sadly that’s how it goes some times. You can read my bio for more info. If you need any emotional support or a listening ear please feel free to introduce yourself and we can chat. Thank you!
