Good morning my new friends. I have been searching for a support group since my diagnosis of severe plaq psoriasis covering 85% of my body, in just 3 months after being diagnosed. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy August 2024, shortly after I noticed a spot on my shins that started small. By December it had spread everywhere, literally it’s from my scalp to my feet! The doctors have not been able to find a treatment that is helping or showing any positive impact. I’ve been a administrative assistant for 9 years, on June 6 I lost my job because I mean let’s not forget since Covid any signs of something as simple as a cough no one wants to be around you. Customers started complaining to executives about my condition and had negative things to say about my condition as if it were contagious. So as of now I’m mentally struggling with my condition and symptoms I hate looking at myself in the mirror now and I won’t even go in public unless I have long coverings for every part of my body except face! Is there anyone who can help me or has been going through something similar to this situation?? At this point I’m almost willing to try anything

Where to start? At the beginning! First noticed psoriasis symptoms on elbows and then scalp when I was 29 - may have been stress-related to getting married, although my mom had rheumatoid arthritis so autoimmune diseases run in my family. Have managed so well over the years with few flare-ups and medicated shampoo. Lucky! Only now, at 59, noticing a bit of a flare-up on my midsection, torso, low back, buttocks and behind my thighs! Like a train wreck of red spots, itchy and threatening to worsen. I’m so sad and disappointed to see a flare-up like this! It’s devastating (for me, mentally). Nothing has really changed in my life except I did have a stressful reaction to a car accident I was involved in at the end of May. I guess I’ll have to head back to the doctor. 😞
