Hi all. Long time no post. Saying hello and I hope everyone is hanging in there. Had my first AC chemo today. Laying in bed. So far body is quiet. Hoping that continues. To be frank I am scared. I had 9 of my 12 taxol and carboplatin treatments and they stopped that cycle bc I was hospitalized twice. Please keep me in prayer. Love to all of us going through this praying for good outcomes, saying why me and fighting to live.

Newly Diagnosed
I thought when I finally got a plan from my oncologists after the two months of tests and biopsy I’d feel relief. I’m an I need a plan person. Instead I finally walked out of the surreal state of feeling like I was watching a movie to realizing I have cancer. Yes cancer. I cratered but just for a day. Now however I’m scared. I wasn’t before. I’m waiting for my bilateral mastectomy date. I’m fortunately stage 1 and borderline 1/2. Chemo is unknown yet. My fears come from the pain I feel in my thighs and body that I worry is cancer having spread to my bones. Also I was just diagnosed with nonalcoholic cirrhosis. My platelets are low and I’m waiting for clearance for surgery. Bleeding out is terrifying. Thirdly I have severe gastreoparesis and can’t even eat right now due to this flare. I’m just a train wreck. Anyway. Thank you for letting me vent.

I have a question for those that are HER2 +. My oncologist told me that I will have a year of treatment after chemo for the her2. She didn’t elaborate if it’s a pill or an infusion. I think she wants to get me through chemo and me not worry about the year process. Well of course she mentioned it and now I’m thinking about it 😊. I’ve read some that suggests it’s an infusion. So, what has this looked like for you if you have it? Pill? Infusion? How often? Thx!

Now I’m having swelling and water retention on tamoxifen. Anyone have this issue? If I lower from 20mg to 10mg it goes away? Did oncology recommend anything. My oncologist discounts everything and makes me feel like it’s all in my head.
