Mental Well-Being
When I'm done with my doctor's appointment, she always gives me a paper with the 90-day overview of my GMI and any notes she has for me. This time she put a big gold star sticker on it. I know it's silly, but it actually made me feel happy. 😃

Easy inexpensive way to make nutritious jam. Heat frozen fruit in 1/2 of water, mash it as it warms, then add 1/4 cup of chia seeds. Let cool. Chill.

So I wanted some input. I had a poor education experience growing up. As well as poor work experiences. Growing up I went by feel (eating wise). Was I hungry, was it a social event, was I in need to make myself happy with a treat. I was not allowed to go into the refrigerator till I was 13. We moved alot. And I learned to rely on my adults for food when they provided it. When I worked which was from 15 till current time. Not normal work but alot of work. I had a problem with my first full time job. They changed my shifts day/graveyard/night. My contacts were cut off and I had no social contact at the age of 18 for 4 years. I became monotone and abused at work. No family contact and no friend contact due to work requirements and everyone elses schedule. I ended up with a nervouse breakdown and high cholesterol and diabetes. I found i was eating alot of sweets and cakes and fat rich foods. I exercised and worked out. But I needed to make changes. And I did. But all that (the inconsistency and poor self awareness for my health) because in my mind the poor treatment and lack of civility from my co workers. Don't get me wrong along the way I had several good friends. But they moved on. My father said I had no vision growing up and my mother said I had a poor awareness of time. So I just would like input on how to help myself diabetes wise. I have made great strides considering I have a cognitive disability. I am seeking pt work to help myself.

If you need a bit of variety in your workout, try metabolic resistance training. The routines can be done with bodyweight, bands, dumbbells, or kettlebells. You choose how difficult to make it.
