Moving Matters: Exercise & Psoriasis

Lesson 6 · 7 min

When you have psoriasis, exercising can be … complicated.

It might hurt to kneel or put pressure on sensitive areas of your skin as you’re working out. And even at the most welcoming gym, you might feel self-conscious showing up with a flare.

The good news is exercise can actually reduce your symptoms. It’s all about finding ways to get moving that are comfortable for you and kind to your flares.

In the last lesson, we talked about everyday habits that are linked to inflammation — one of which is a lack of exercise.

You’ll come away from this lesson with safe, real-life ways to get active when you have psoriasis and a clear understanding of when (and how) to take it easy.
