Hi! My aunt whose a nurse brought up the idea of me eating 6 smaller meals throughout the day to help me gain weight back and absorb nutrients- does anyone or has anyone done this before? Or have any advice for me? I don’t have my full appetite back yet so it’s kinda hard

Medications and Treatments
I’ve really appreciated the kind responses in the past.. I’m currently playing the “is it the new meds or is my flare just getting worse?” game.. My inflammation labs were up so my provider had me start Mesalamine enemas on Saturday, I’ve never done that before and after day 4 I reached out to my provider basically begging for anything else because my body wanted to evacuate everything immediately, wasting the medication and I lost my appetite for the whole duration of those 4 days. (I was originally diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis so like the enemas really just irritated everything worse.) She moved me on Wednesday to prednisone (which I hate prednisone but I figured it had to be better than the enemas), this is my third time on prednisone so I figured it wouldn’t be fun but better (normally it just impacts my mood and I feel on edge) Here’s my question to others who have had multiple med changes or on prednisone- do you experience really bad nausea? This is night 2 in a row of not keeping my dinner down. I take my meds in the morning with breakfast, bit for the last two nights it’s like my stomach hurts so bad that throwing up is what my body resorts to. I plan to reach out to my provider if this doesn’t let up, but I guess I’m just a bit confused if prednisone would be doing this or if it’s a sign my UC is changing / progressing. I have a sigmoidoscopy 9/4. This all just feels like a lot. I’m set to start a PhD program in two weeks but gosh the idea of being in classes and homework and research on top of all of this feels like a disaster.

Women with IBD
Okay, looking for some advice here. This has been going on since Sunday.. I’m house sitting and lately, at night after dinner, my stomach has been in pain. I can’t really describe it. And my gag reflexes have been super high too. I meant to call and set up an appointment with my GI today, but that didn’t happen, so I’ll be calling first thing Monday morning when they open. And this might be TMI, but I haven’t had a bowel movement in a few days. The last time I remember having something was diarrhea and that was a few days ago.
