just a vent… I am having a really tough time. it’s been a while since I’ve had a depressive episode this long - it’s been several weeks. Not all is bad, I have much to be grateful for and happy about. Just have this inescapable feeling of dread and worthlessness, and I judge myself for it because I know I should enjoy life. I sleep in, even when im awake I wish I was asleep. I stare at a screen to avoid the world. feel numb all day. I don’t eat till the very late afternoon. It’s 2pm and I have had a cookie to eat today. I don’t want to spend more money on food but I’ve been too lazy to go to the store for groceries, and eating out has been so expensive. im at a loss right now and just want to get better. Endless cycle. I need to eat but I can’t bring myself to. I’m not even hungry. Thanks for listening.

Mental Well-Being
Maintaining a positive attitude is essential for those facing illness or hardship in their journey to overcome challenges. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to live a relatively normal life, something I once questioned many times. There is always something to be thankful for. Kidney disease and post-transplant patients can lead joyful, productive, and fulfilling lives. Healing is not always straightforward and can be a lengthy process. I tell myself to be kind to myself throughout this journey. Mental wellness, self-love, and acceptance are incredibly important. I do my best to practice gratitude, even amidst life's challenges; when someone receives a life-saving gift from a donor family, one must strive to honor that gift with dedication and perseverance. Here's to 10 years as a kidney transplant recipient. 💚✨️💚
