- An experimental COVID-19 vaccine made by Moderna pharmaceutical company may be nearly 95% effective, according to early research. The results have yet to be published in a peer-reviewed medical journal.
- Former CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden said that deaths from COVID-19 may reach 2,000 a day by the end of this year. “We’re seeing more cases in more places than ever before,” he told Good Morning America on Nov. 15.
- Stay-at-home advisories and lockdowns are on the rise as the COVID-19 pandemic surges this month. In Chicago, a stay-at-home advisory is expected to start on Monday. In California, the governor said he was considering curfews.
