- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending against Thanksgiving travel to prevent transmission of COVID-19. The massive surge of COVID-19 cases in recent weeks may only grow if people gather for the holiday.
- New York is only one step away from the “orange” warning zone due to rising COVID-19 cases. However, Mayor Bill de Blasio said it’s likely to happen, meaning businesses that only just reopened might have to close again according to state rules.
- Officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) no longer recommend treating people with mild to moderate COVID-19 with the antiviral drug bamlanivimab. Instead, they say that only people at risk for severe COVID-19 should get the treatment.
