- The pandemic has hit another grim milestone this week. Now more than 100 million people globally have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
- A new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report finds little evidence that reopening schools would dramatically increase COVID-19 transmission in the community.
- A silverback gorilla that had tested positive for COVID-19 was given a monoclonal antibody treatment for the disease. Officials stressed that the treatment was from a supply not meant for humans.

People are worried about having an allergic reaction to the COVID-19 shot, especially one called anaphylaxis. But experts say this is rare and treatable.
