  • Finland joined Sweden and Denmark in pausing use of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for younger people, reported Reuters. Finland will now limit the vaccine’s use in younger men due to reports of a rare side effect of myocarditis.
  • Pfizer and BioNTech announced on social media that they’ve submitted a request for FDA authorization of their COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 to 11. With authorization, younger children could start to get the vaccine within weeks.
