The FDA has given emergency approval for the first at-home rapid test. The Lucira COVID-19 All-In-One Test Kit is available by prescription and intended for people 14 years and older who may have COVID-19.
New York City is shutting down public schools amid rising COVID-19 cases. The shutdown was prompted after the city reached a 3% positive testing rate. Over 300,000 students will be affected by the closures.
