- Sweden has finally rolled out nationwide COVID-19 restrictions. The Scandinavian nation has now instituted bans on large gatherings, alcohol sale curfews, and school closures amid rising cases and hospitalizations.
- The U.K. will start to vaccinate its citizens this Tuesday after becoming the first Western nation to approve a COVID-19 vaccine. The FDA is going to review the same Pfizer vaccine this Thursday.
- New York City elementary schools are reopening even as COVID-19 cases climb. The largest school district in the country will reopen schools for young children, as more evidence shows they’re less likely to get sick and pass the virus.
